Harvest Moon came from a full moon paddle on Blue Mountain Lake during that same residency. The moon was bright enough to light up the whole lake, the air was chilly, and the water was calm and reflective. You could hear a loon calling across the water, one of those sounds that feels both familiar and ancient. It was peaceful, but powerful in a way that makes you pay attention. This piece reflects that night: the stillness, the connection to the land and water, and the feeling of being held inside something larger and older than yourself.
